Roya

I was born and raised in Iran. When I was about 22, I came to the States hoping to continue my education, but instead ended up in the workforce after a year to support myself. I have been through a lot in life to find my way in life, and because of that I’ve had to get closer and closer to G-d. In addition to religion, I also love nature and connect to my higher power through nature. I used to go hiking with my friends as a teenager all day on the weekends. Now, I try to go up to the lakes and mountains near the city, for a weekend getaway and spend a quiet beautiful with nature and hike in the area, enjoy sometime by the lake or dip in the water. Other weekends, when I am home, I have been watching classic movies, spending time with my pets, and growing a garden in my little patio.

Qualified for Adoption

I am gentle soul and have been through a lot in life. Because of circumstances, I couldn’t have a child of my own but I am very maternal. The child I decided to adopt I will love, cherish and care for as long as I live. I currently work with children with behavioral problems, so with my education in psychology and 15 years of working with kids of all ages, I think I can handle kids with any behaviors. I don’t believe in being friends with my child, and I don’t ever want to be a controlling parent. The best parenting style is one that you be a parent, and set flexible limits and raise your child to respect boundaries. I have a lot of wisdom that I got from my father, that I’d like to share with my child to be successful in life.

About Me

I was born and raised in Iran and left when I was a young adult. About 20 years ago, I left a successful career in technical sales to find something more meaningful after 9/11. I was gradually pulled into working with children with autism and other developmental delays, and have found it very rewarding. And in the past couple of years, I have started my own agency. When I am not in the office and clinic, I am home taking care of and enjoying my pets. I have a longhair chihuahua, who is so well behaved and sweet that I named her, “Assal” meaning honey. I also have an adorable cat which adopted since she was a tiny kitty, “Baby”. Since I was 18, I have been wanting to have children of my own and I just didn’t get around to it. Now I feel I’ve waited long enough and some more!

Qualified for Adoption

I know that it’s a difficult decision you are making, and it takes a lot of selflessness and bravery to put your baby’s life and needs ahead of yourself. If you choose me as your adoptive parent, you can count on me to be a source of support through and after this process for yourself, and to put the needs and life of your baby ahead of mine. I will raise your child to live up to his/her potential, and most importantly keep him/her safe, happy and loved.

My Faith

I am Jewish by birth and by choice. Although I am not Orthodox, I observe as much as I can. Religion and spirituality is a big part of my life, and it helps keep my relationship with G-d straight. My relationship with my creator has got me through the worst difficulties and I’d like to raise your child to have that blessing in life too.
