Dear Birthmother

Hello! We are Mike and Lisa and we would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We have been married for 5 1⁄2 years and are each other's best friend. We live in GA and have a beagle named Pepper. We like to have fun and stay busy with things such as hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. We love the outdoors and find equal enjoyment in the mountains and at the beach. We admire your courage and willingness to do such a selfless act of love for your baby, and we are touched and honored that you are considering us as potential adoptive parents. However, whether or not you choose us, we know you are going to make someone like us very happy for a lifetime to come. We hope you find peace in your decision. Being parents is something that we greatly desire. We have always known in our hearts that we would adopt if we were unable to conceive. After four years of trying to conceive, along with a journey of infertility, we have accepted that having a child biologically was most likely not happening for us. Not only did this bring us closer to each other, but we were also more certain than ever that adoption was the way we were meant to start our family. We have a strong faith in God and this journey has helped us to become even closer to God. We are fully committed to each other and to God. We are praying for you and are thankful that you are taking the time to learn a little bit about us. We cannot understand all that you are feeling and going through. But we can promise you to always try and do the right thing and to provide the best education for your child. Your child will grow up knowing their adoption story and what a sacrifice you made so they could have a life of opportunity. They will always know how much they are loved. We promise a life of hugs, kisses, and more laughs than you can imagine. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you make this important decision for your child. Sincerely, Michael and Lisa

Reason to Adopt

We have a strong desire to become parents. We have struggled with infertility and feel that adoption is the way to best grow our family. We have a lot of love to give and we are following God's plan that is laid out before us. We truly believe that God brought us to this point and we are ready to welcome a child into our family.

About Us: How we met

We met on an Online Dating Website called Catholic Match. We started e-mailing each other, which led to our first date. We've been together ever since. We dated for three years before getting engaged. This time helped us to build our strong friendship with each other. We are each other's best friend. Mike proposed on top of the Empire State Building and seven months later we were married in the Catholic Church. We have been happily married for 5 1⁄2 years. We've been together for a total of around nine years. We have fun no matter what we are doing! We can't wait to share that with our child. We enjoy spending the day with our dog, Pepper. We like going for walks, hikes in the mountains, picnics, or just hanging out at the park. Family is important to us. Every night we have a home cooked meal together. This time is special because it allows us to spend time together and to talk about our day. Faith is extremely important to us. We both grew up in the Catholic Church and we love our faith. We love to entertain priests and deacons from our church and we have developed close friendships with some of them. Our child will grow up learning to love and respect God. We will attend church weekly and pray together as a family. We are a fun loving couple who are committed to each other, our family, our friends, and our faith. We can't wait to share these things with our child!

Our Community

We live in a house that is very cozy and inviting. Our neighborhood is small, safe, and full of children. As we walk through the neighborhood we find kids playing, laughing, and having fun! We live in a suburb of the city and we love our location because we can easily have access to the city or head north to the mountains. Our community has lots of nice parks nearby! A couple of our favorites have great play areas for the kids in addition to walking trails and picnic areas. We also live close to a large lake with lots of fun activities!

Family Traditions

We love to travel and to see the world. Our big trips include: Aruba, Alaska, Canada, Italy, London, Ireland, Washington State, an Oregon. We still have many places on our list to see and are excited to have a child to experience it with us! We love spending time with our family and our friends. We enjoy BBQing, playing games, chatting, or going to fun events together. Traditions and building memories are important to us. For example, every year, in December, we rent a cabin in the Smoky Mountains. We love to see the Christmas lights and breathe in that fresh mountain air. Other traditions include: pumpkin picking in October, festivals with friends, hol- idays with family, and a yearly visit (sometimes twice a year) to Disney with our close friends in Orlando. We have learned how to make pasta and we try to make it once a week at home together. We can't wait to include our child in on these traditions and to make new ones!
