I grew up in a very supportive family with two brothers. Family time is important to us, and we enjoyed spending time with each other. We enjoyed spending time at family picnics, going to events, and having family vacations every summer. My mom was a school teacher, so education was very important to us. My dad had a few different jobs including owning a grocery store and retired as a car salesman. I was very active in local church growing up and went to summer camp every year. I was a small group leader and was involved in the puppet ministry. As an adult, I've been blessed to be able to travel both inside and outside the United States. I am always up to go somewhere. I am a middle school teacher, and I have always wanted to be a mom.

Dear Birthmother

We want to begin by saying how thankful we are that you are taking the time to learn a little about us. We are so excited that you are considering us for the amazing privilege of being your baby's parents. We realize that this must be the most difficult decision you will ever make. We want you to know that we are praying for you and your baby. Thank you for making the decision to give life to your child. Choosing an adoption plan is a very brave, courageous, loving, and absolutely selfless act. It takes a very special person to consider helping another couple make their dreams come true! With our inability to have children ourselves, we believe that it is God's will to build our family through adoption. We would be so honored should you choose to give us this incredible gift.

Reason to Adopt

Elizabeth and I knew when we got married that we wanted to start a family. Due to health reasons, we are unable to have a baby. The more we prayed and considered our options the more adoption came to the front of our minds and hearts. We have a lot of friends that have gone through the adoption process and have been very supportive to us along the way. Adoption is such a special and unique process. We both feel adoption is a wonderful way to grow our family and to give all of the love we have to a beautiful little baby. We are so anxious and excited!

Our Parenting Style

We both grew up with strong parents that loved, encouraged, and were very supportive of us. We plan to follow their examples in parenting our child. While we know that a certain amount of discipline is necessary, we dont want to be heavy handed or o

Our Home and Neighborhood

When Elizabeth and I got married we lived in her condo, which might have been a little extra room for a single adult, but quickly became tight for the both of us and was definitely too small for us to add to our family! We decided to see what a realtor had to say about selling our condo. The realtor suggested we start packing some of our things and get the condo ready to show. Six days later, we had an offer on our condo without ever putting it on the market. Because it was more than we expected, we went ahead and accepted it. Three weeks later, we closed on the sale and ten days after that, we moved into our current home. With 4 bedrooms and a finished basement we now have plenty of room to grow. It sits on three and a half acres of mostly wooded land in a well established subdivision. We have a decent portion of well groomed yard area to have a playscape as well as the wooded areas to explore as our child gets older. With neighbors of all stages of life and families that are still growing, our child should have many opportunities to make friends. The neighborhood even has a gathering each year for all of the children to go Trick-or-Treating together. Everyone we have met in the neighborhood has been very nice!

Things we like to do.

Whether its spending time in the mountains or at the beach, we love it all. We usually take one trip to the mountains and one to the beach each year. Elizabeths family has everyone get together for a trip every other year and her dads family
