  • Creative, funny, and kind.
I am a 36 year old woman who is genuine, positive, and tenacious. My wonderful husband and I have been married for nine years; together for fourteen. He is my biggest support and has stood by my side through many difficult obstacles. My family is equally important to me; I am the eldest of three daughters and I was/am very close with my mother (she is since deceased) and father. Additionally, I am an aunt to six nieces and nephews. For the past fifteen years, I have been employed as a teacher at Beaver Area High School. My job is extremely rewarding, as I influence the lives of students on a daily basis. I also feel that my occupation helps me to learn something new every day! During my free time (and the summer), I enjoy yoga, staying active, decorating and caring for my home, and spending time with my dog and two cats. My husband and I also make it a point to spend time together whether it is a simple night in cooking and watching television or traveling to our family's vacation homes on Lake Erie and Jupiter, Florida. We have both been patiently waiting to become parents (and have been approved through an adoption agency in Beaver County), as unfortunately we are not able to conceive on our own.

I've always been considered lovable and funny. I loved the social aspects of school, but not so much the academics. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life until I met my wife, who encouraged me to enroll in a college that was geared towards the trades. While attending college, I began a full-time job working on cars, which ultimately resulted in me developing an extremely strong work ethic. Shortly thereafter, I began my career in the Heating & Air-Conditioning industry, working for my father. After years of hard work, and multiple roles, I'm now the General Manager of the most successful commercial HVAC contractor in Western Pennsylvania. When I was in high school, I had a part-time job cooking steak sandwiches. Since then, I've been a self-renowned chef within our household. While my wife admittedly assumes the bulk of the household chores, I always make sure there's a delicious meal on the table for dinner. I've always enjoyed spending time with family, especially my wife, whether we're watching a new Netflix show or relaxing on vacation--I'm always at my happiest when I'm with her.

Dear Birthmother

I was 23 when Dana was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Before that happened, we wanted nothing more than to have children. I watched as all of our aspirations to become parents were taken away in a quick, swift motion. If I have learned anything over the last seven years, it's that we both have entirely too much love yet to give. I have seen the relationships that Dana has built with our nieces and nephews, or the funny faces from the random baby at a restaurant and I know that a child would only be so lucky to be raised by my wife. Not to discredit myself; I am pretty sure this was my calling. I have actually had multiple people tell me, ''You would be such a great father.'' While I am confident that we're more than financially stable to add your beautiful child to our lives, I have never been more certain that we can do so with the utmost amount of love and care that two people can give. We can guarantee that your child would only receive the best support and opportunities throughout their lifetime. We cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it would be to put a child up for adoption. If we are given the opportunity to adopt your child, please know that we would go to the end of this world to be sure to protect and love this amazing blessing of a human being.

Reason to Adopt

Dana was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 30. Through the suggestion of her oncologist, we went through IVF as she would lose the ability to have children. We do have one embryo in storage from the retrieval prior to her cancer treatments. We did attempt to have a gestational carrier for this embryo (her sister), and although she has a healthy child, she (her sister) was disqualified due to a heart condition. Adoption could very well be our only opportunity to become parents which we very much long to be.
