Dear Birthmother

Hi. Hola. Salut! We are Christine, Gerald, and Sebastian. We are a trilingual (English-French-Spanish) couple. We enjoy learning foreign languages, playing guitar, hiking, photography, and traveling to explore new places. These similar interests have helped us form a strong partnership - as best friends. Family is important to us. We plan to visit family internationally in Paraguay, Costa Rica an Argentina, as well as visit Christine's family at their family farm in Wisconsin and Gerald's family at his brother's lake house outside of Atlanta, GA. We are incredibly lucky to live in the southwest where, in the fall, aspen trees turn golden yellow and, in the winter, we wake up to snow-capped mountains. Our house is in a quiet neighborhood full of families with children of all ages and a park within walking distance. Our home library is filled with children's books and all kinds of art supplies. During summers, we enjoy local music in the park and family movie nights in the town square. Close family friends are pregnant with their second child, so Sebastian keeps asking us when he will have a new baby brother or baby sister. He is looking forward to have a younger sibling because he loves to share and play with other children. We are both teachers and want great educational opportunities for our children. We admire and respect your courage and strength. We recognize the important decisions you are considering, offer our support, and wish all the best for you and your child. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.

Reason to Adopt

We have grown up as teachers with children all around us every day and knew we wanted children of our own. We pursued several ways to conceive a child, and then decided to pursue adoption, particularly when we learned about open adoption. On April 4, 2016, our lives were forever changed: Sebastian became our son through the gift of open adoption. We were blessed to welcome him into our lives as he surrounds us daily with light and love. We are now looking forward to continuing to expand our family and have a sibling for Sebastian.
